There is not a lot of room under the bow of these Vagabonds, to repair that hole you are going to need access to both sides. You will also have to remove the front sealed in floatation.

Not only is the front handle broken, the two rear cast handles that match the front handle are gone.

The glove box doors are also missing.

I'd pass on this one, Spend your time enjoying the boat instead of regretting that you bought one with these many issues. This boat is not worth more then $100.00...

Thanks Guys.

I am looking for a project, but as a first this might be a bit ambitious. I'm feeling a bit anxious to get one. I'm hoping patience will be rewarded.

The price folks are asking for these all all over the map. He is asking $400. The deckless one on the site is $1000, that good looking sold hull only was $500.

I'll keep looking.

Would make the perfect Rat Boat.
Hang the ugliest motor you can find on it.
Bilge pump going off every 5 minutes (make sure it squirts upward).
Name it Timex...takes a lickin and keeps on tickin.

I agree with all the previous comments. That is a big hole, and in my DR, that's something I can't reach from the inside without removing a bulkhead, but I think the Vag is different in that respect. Depends on your skill set, but it's beyond mine! Locomotion could work wonders with it, but not me.

It looks like the port-side splash rail took a good hit on the aft-end of the hull. Looks like the last foot or so may be torn off, and the hull may be flattened a bit in that area. In the photo taken from the rear, it looks like the port side is not properly rounded.

I too would pass...

I think I'd pass on that one unless it's pretty close to free.

That would be a large project with a number of difficult issues to overcome to get it back into useable condition, are you looking for a major challenge?

He folks,

Found a potential Vagabond, it has some issues. I'm expecting some better pictures, but the price is right.

1. Bow Hole
2. Bow Handle
3. Looks like a few holes in the side.
4.Repair at trim tab area.
5. Sten Handle
6.Iron Windsheild
7.Splash Rail wear.
8. What else?

Somebody decided to take on that WV project boat.

I had a nice visit with Dave and Neil last night as they packed up for Arrowhead. They were super generous with their time showing me their boats and sharing many experiences.

Thanks a bunch guys! I know much better what to look for in a project boat and motor.

Have fun at Arrowhead!
